Here
are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday,
January 5, through Sunday, January 12, 2013 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – Near Lucia
- Crews have completed the
installation and activation of a temporary traffic signal on Highway 1
just north of Big Creek Bridge near Lucia.
- This section of roadway will
have signalized, reverse one-way traffic control 24/7 for the next several
months.
- Highway 1 will remain open during
this traffic control for all motorists, cyclists, and local businesses.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 1 – Big Sur: Jan. 6 – 10
- Daytime drainage work along
Highway 1 between Big Sur and Garrapata Creek Bridge from 8:30 a.m. to 3
p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Greenfield: Jan. 6 – 10
- Daytime crack and seal work
along northbound Highway 101 between Thorne Road and Arroyo Seco Road from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.
Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad: Jan. 6 – Jan. 10
- Daytime paving, drainage, and
electrical work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane and
ramp closures—northbound and southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Prunedale Improvement Project: Jan. 6 – Jan. 10
- Nighttime drainage work will
result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway
101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
