ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR JAN 18 - JAN 26

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Saturday, January 18, through Sunday, January 26, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Multiple Locations:  Jan. 20 – 24

• Daytime drainage, slide removal, paving, and tree work at multiple locations along Highway 1 between from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Locations are:
• Wild Cattle Creek Bridge to Rain Rock: slide removal.
• Lime Creek Bridge to Partington Ridge Road: drainage clearing.
• Big Sur State Park Entrance to Point Sur Naval Facility: drainage clearing.
• Rocky Creek Bridge to Garrapata Ridge Road: crack and seal work.
• Highland Drive to Granite Canyon Bridge: tree and shoulder work.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Moss Landing:  Jan. 18

• Daytime pavement work on northbound Highway 1 at Elkhorn Slough Bridge from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Highway 1 – Moss Landing:  Jan. 21

• Daytime maintenance work on Highway 1 at Hilltop Industries from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad:  Jan. 20 – Jan. 24

• Daytime drainage and guardrail work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Prunedale Improvement Project: Jan. 20 – Jan. 24

• Nighttime work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

San Juan Road Interchange — Crossover, Road and Lane Closures: Jan. 20 – Jan. 24

• Temporary night time traffic crossover on Highway. 101, between Dunbarton Road and Cole Road, Monday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 21.
• Night work will also temporarily close access to and from San Juan Road at Highway 101 starting Monday, January 20 and going through the mornig of Thursday, January 23.
• There will also be alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Cole Road on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
• The crossover, road and lane closures will occur between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.
