ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR JAN 12 - JAN 19

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, January 12, through Sunday, January 19, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Big Sur Coast:  Jan. 13 – 17

• Daytime drainage, slide removal, and utility work at multiple locations along Highway 1 between Pacific Valley and Big Sur from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Granite Canyon Bridge:  Jan. 17

• Daytime pavement work on Highway 1 at Granite Canyon Bridge from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Yankee Point:  Jan. 16

• Daytime tree removal on Highway 1 between Malpaso Creek Bridge and Yankee Point Drive (North) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Point Lobos:  Jan. 13 – 14

• Daytime tree removal on Highway 1 between Jose Creek Bridge and Point Lobos State Reserve from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Monterey:  Jan. 15

• Daytime pavement marker replacement on Highway 1 between Casa Verde Way and Del Monte Avenue from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad:  Jan. 13 – Jan. 17

• Daytime drainage and electrical work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane and ramp closures—northbound and southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Salinas to San Benito County:  Jan. 13 – Jan. 17

• Daytime road sweeping along highway 101 from Airport Boulevard to the San Benito County Line between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 8 minutes.

Prunedale Improvement Project: Jan. 13 – Jan. 17

• Nighttime work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

San Juan Road Interchange – Cannon Road to Dunbarton: Jan. 13 – Jan. 17

• Nighttime removal of bridge falsework will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Cannon / Rocks Road and Dunbarton Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 198:  Jan. 13 – Jan. 17

• Daytime slide removal along Highway 198 from San Lorenzo Creek Bridge to Griffin Road between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
