ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR JAN 25 - FEB 2

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Saturday, January 25, through Sunday, February 2, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Bixby Bridge:  Jan. 25

• Daytime guardrail repair near Bixby Bridge between from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Multiple Locations:  Jan. 27 – 31

• Daytime drainage, tree removal, vegetation spraying, and shoulder work at multiple locations along Highway 1 between from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Locations are:
• Hot Springs Creek Bridge to Castro Canyon Bridge: drainage clearing.
• Lime Partington Ridge Road to Castro Canyon Bridge: tree removal.
• Big Sur State Park Entrance to Garrapata Ridge Road: drainage clearing.
• Malpaso Creek Bridge to Highway 156: vegetation spraying.
• Highland Drive to Granite Canyon Bridge: shoulder work.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Monterey:  Jan. 30

• Daytime maintenance work on the northbound Highway 1 off ramp at Fremont Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

Highway 68 – Pacific Grove:  Jan. 21

• Daytime paving on Highway 68 between 17 Mile Drive and Grove Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad:  Jan. 27 – Jan. 31

• Daytime drainage and guardrail work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Salinas:  Jan. 28 – Jan. 31

• Daytime guardrail work on Highway 101 from Alisal Road to Sherwood Drive between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Prunedale Improvement Project: Jan. 27 – Jan. 31

• Nighttime work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

San Juan Road Interchange: Jan. 27 – Jan. 31

• Night work on Highway 101 will cause alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Cole Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• The night work will also cause temporary closures of the San Juan Road off ramp 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 218 – Seaside and Del Rey Oaks:  Jan. 31

• Daytime vegetation spraying on 218 between Del Monte Blvd and Highway 68 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

Special Notice — South County: Jan. 23 – Feb. 6

·        Military training exercises will cause delays on Milpitas Road and Nacimiento Fergusson Road in Fort Hunter Liggett Jan. 23 – Feb. 6.

·        Rail road repairs will cause delays on Sargents Road in San Ardo Jan. 23 – Feb. 6.
