Here
are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for Monterey County from Monday,
Jul 6 through Sunday, July 12, 2015 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – Gorda to Ragged Point: July 6 –
July 10
- A major retaining wall construction project will result in daytime traffic control and full night time closures of Highway 1 between Gorda and Ragged Point from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Night work will take place Sunday nights through Friday mornings.
- Motorists traveling north/south of these closures are advised to reach their destinations before 10 p.m.
- All local businesses along the coast will remain open during the roadwork.
- Motorists should expect daytime delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 1 – Big Sur Coast: July 7 –
July 10
- Daytime pavement work along Highway 1 between the Juan Higuera Creek Bridge and Hurricane Point from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 1 – Monterey: July 7 &
July 9
- Daytime guardrail repair along northbound Highway 1 at Soledad Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
PG&E Gas Line Replacement Project –
Highway 68: July 6 – July 11
- Gas line replacement work will result in night time lane closures along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Olmsted Road and San Benancio Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes
Highway 101 – Greenfield: July 6 – July 10
- Daytime pavement and ramp work along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Lagomarsino Avenue and Hudson Road from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – San Juan Road Interchange
Project: July 6 – July 10
- Night time construction work along southbound and northbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road (South) and Cannon Road/Rocks Road from 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- The southbound and northbound San Juan Road Interchange ramps will be subject to closure.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 198 – San Lucus: July 7
& July 9
- Daytime pavement work along Highway 198 between Freeman Flat Road and Pine Valley Road from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
River Road Overlay Project
- Daytime pavement work along River Road between Parker Road and Chualar River Road from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
- The project is currently scheduled for completion by August 31.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
