Here
are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday,

weather-dependent.

construction project will result in daytime traffic control and full night
time closures of Highway 1 between Gorda and Ragged Point from 10 p.m. to

nights through Friday mornings.
- Motorists traveling north/south
of these closures are advised to reach their destinations before 10 p.m.

Salinas: East Alisal Street/Skyway
Boulevard Roundabout Project
All underground work has been completed. Demolition for splitter island and bio-swales
is 90% complete, and the contractor, Anderson Pacific Engineering of Santa
Clara, will be starting street reconstruction work next week (a 2+ week
effort). The project is on schedule for
operational completion by the California International Airshow in Salinas
(September 26 and 27). Traffic detours around the intersection are in
effect. Motorists should expect 5-10
minute delays.
Salinas: Industrial Waste Pipeline
Project on Blanco Road:
The pipeline is fully installed and the westbound traffic closure
has been removed. Two-way traffic with 2
lanes in each direction has been re-established on Blanco Road. Final striping for the westbound lanes will
occur today. Thus, the project is
essentially complete and traffic is back to “normal”. No additional impacts to traffic are expected
for this project.
