Road and lane closures for Jan. 27 - Feb. 3

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for the areas between Salinas and North Monterey County from Sunday, January 27, through Sunday, February 3, 2013– newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 101 Slope Repair North of Prunedale: Jan. 28 – March

·         Crews will make repairs to a ½  mile section of southbound Hwy. 101 between Rocks Road  and Cole Road near Prunedale starting next Monday, Jan. 28.

·         The #1 (fast) lane will be closed in the southbound direction until Friday, February 1.

·         Roadwork hours will be from 8 am to 2 pm.

·         Up to 10 minute delays are anticipated.

·         Both southbound lanes of Hwy. 101 will remain open during the week of February 4-10 for the Pebble Beach golf tournament.

·         Roadwork is expected to be completed by the end of March, weather permitting.

Highway 1/Rocky Creek Viaduct Project:  Jan. 27 – Feb 3

·         Daytime roadwork on Highway 1 continues next week from 7 am to 5 pm Monday, Jan. 28 through Friday, Feb. 1.

·         Overnight closures continue from 9pm to 7am Sunday, Jan. 27 through Thursday, Jan. 31 (opening Friday at 7am)

·         Hwy. 1 @ Rocky Creek has one-way has one-way signalized traffic control 24/7.

·         Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a time during daytime roadwork.

Highway 1 @ Fremont:  Jan. 27 – Feb. 1

·         Night work on Hwy 1 at Fremont St. will result in closures between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Sunday, January 27, to Friday, February 1.

·         Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

·         Crews will be working on the guardrail.

Highway 1 between Salinas Rd. and Route 129:  Jan. 28 – Jan. 31

·         Grinding on Hwy 1 near Watsonville, between Salinas Road and Route 129 will result in lane closures between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday, January 28, to Thursday, January 31.

·         Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Highway 68 @ Highway 1 (East):  Jan. 27 – Feb. 1

·         Night work on Hwy 68 at Hwy 1 (east) will result in closures between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Sunday, January 27, to Friday, February 1.

·         Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

·         Crews will be working on the guardrail.

Prunedale Improvement Project – Crazy Horse Canyon Road: Jan 27 – Feb 3

• Night work on Hwy 101 between Crazy Horse Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road will close lanes in each direction between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday, January 28, to Friday, February 1.
• Night work on Crazy Horse Canyon Road will result in flagging for both directions between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from Monday, January 28, to Friday, February 1.
• Crews will be moving equipment and installing piles.
