This is the first major section of the US 101/Prunedale Improvement Project to open to the public - thanks to all of our partners and stakeholders!
When it opens to traffic, on Monday, January 14, it will provide a safer way to get from one side of Highway 101 to the other. Northbound Highway 101 traffic will be able to cross over to Blackie Road and the west side of Highway 101 without having to make a left turn across southbound Highway 101 traffic, and vise-versa.
Eliminating left turns across the highway will reduce the number of accidents and delays on US 101, providing much needed congestion relief for approximately 100,000 drivers every day.
