are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday,
March 8 through Sunday, March 15, 2015 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – Big Sur — Two
Locations: March 9 – 13
- Daytime roadwork at two locations along Highway 1 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The locations are:
- Villa Creek Bridge to Alder Creek Bridge for slope repair.
- Torre Canyon Bridge to Fullers Point for crack and seal work.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 68 – Pacific Grove: March
11 – 13
- Daytime pavement repair along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Piedmont Avenue and Samuel F B Morse Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes
PG&E Gas Line Replacement Project –
Highway 68: March 8 – 14
- Gas line replacement work will result in night time lane closures along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between San Benancio Road and Quail Ridge Lane from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes
Highway 101 – Bradley: March 12
- Daytime guardrail repair along southbound Highway 101 between Jolon Road and Bradley from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – King City: March 9
- Daytime bridge work along northbound Highway 101 between Broadway and Jolon Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Greenfield to Soledad: March 8
– 13
- Daytime and night time median barrier and ramp work along Highway 101 between Espinosa Road and Arroyo Seco Road.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – San Juan Road
Interchange Project: March 9 – 13
- Night time paving and k-rail installation along northbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road (South) and Cannon Road/Rocks Road from 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Directional signs and changeable message boards will be in place to help direct drivers.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.
Abbott Street Water Line Replacement Project
- Waterline installation along the Abbott Street/Harkins Road/Dayton Street corridor may result in lane closures and traffic control.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes
