Highway 1/Rocky Creek Viaduct Project: Oct. 13 – Oct. 18
- Daytime
roadwork on Highway 1 continues next week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, 14
through Friday, Oct. 18.
- THERE WILL BE FIVE, FULL OVERNIGHT CLOSURES, FROM 11 PM TO 7 AM, STARTING SUNDAY, OCT. 13 THROUGH THURSDAY, OCT. 17 (OPENING FRIDAY MORNING) TO REMOVE THE VIADUCT FALSEWORK.
Highway 1 at Rocky Creek has
one-way signalized traffic control 24/7. Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes
at a time during daytime and nighttime roadwork.
Highway 1 – South Big Sur Coast: Oct. 16 – Oct. 18
- Daytime drainage and paving on
Highway 1 between Lime Creek Bridge and Pfeiffer Burns State Park from 8
a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 1 – Ocean Avenue:
Oct. 14 – End of October
- Night time work on southbound Highway
1 at Ocean Avenue from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The #2 (slow) lane and right
turn lane at Ocean Avenue will be closed during work hours.
- The project will replace a
drainage culvert and is expected to be completed by the end of October,
weather permitting.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Hwy. 1 on-ramp at State Route 68 East from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between
5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Night time paving and survey
work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo

Highway 101 – Salinas: Oct. 15 – Oct. 16
- Daytime crack and seal work on southbound
Highway 101 between Airport Blvd and Gould Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Prunedale Improvement Project – Multiple Locations: Oct. 14 – Oct. 18
- Nighttime work on Highway 101 in
Prunedale will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and
southbound—between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Locations are:
- Ralph Lane to Pesante Road
- Vierra Canyon Road to San Miguel Canyon Road
- Mallory Canyon Road to Echo Valley Road
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
***Prunedale
Improvement Project – Crazy Horse Canyon Interchange Opening and Resulting Left
Turn Closures: Oct. 15***
- The Crazy
Horse Canyon/Echo Valley Road Interchange opens to public traffic on the
morning of Tuesday, October 15.
- As a result of the new Crazy
Horse Canyon Interchange, left turns across U.S. 101 between Echo Valley
Road and San Miguel Canyon Road will be eliminated.
- Crews will begin restriping
left turn lanes on U.S. 101 at Messick Road, Tustin Road, and Mallory
Canyon Road on the night of Monday, Oct. 14.
- Crews will begin installing
k-rail (concrete barriers) on U.S.101 at Tustin Road, Messick Road, and
Mallory Canyon Road on the night of Tuesday, Oct. 15.
- Travelers will now use the new Crazy Horse Canyon Interchange and the upgraded San Miguel Canyon Overcrossing to access local residences and businesses.
- Motorists can expect safer travel.
San Juan Road Project: Oct. 14 –
Oct. 18
- Night work on Highway 101,
between San Juan Road and Cole Road, will result in lane closures between
the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., from Monday, October 14, to Friday,
October 18.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 183– Salinas: Oct. 14– Oct. 17
- Daytime utility work on Highway
183 between Villa Street and Clark Street from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.
Highway 198: Oct. 14–
Oct. 18
- Daytime pavement repair on
Highway 198 between Summit (Mustang) and Griffin Road from 8 a.m. to 3:30
p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
