Here
are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday,
May 3 through Sunday, May 10, 2015 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – Big Sur: May 4 – May 8
- Daytime crack seal work along Highway 1 between Anderson Canyon Bridge and Grimes Canyon from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes
PG&E Gas Line Replacement Project –
Highway 68: May 3 – May 9
- Gas line replacement work will result in night time lane closures along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Olmsted Road and San Benancio Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes
Highway 101 – Greenfield: May 3 – May 8
- Daytime and night time pavement work along northbound and southbound Highway 101 at Espinosa Road.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Spence Road and Abbott
Street Ramps: May 5
- Daytime drainage work will result in the temporary closure of the Spence Road and Abbott Street ramps along northbound Highway 101 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 20 minutes.
Highway 101 – San Juan Road Interchange
Project: May 3 – May 8
- Night time paving along southbound and northbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road (South) and Cannon Road/Rocks Road from 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- The southbound San Juan Road exit will be subject to closure from 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Motorists should detour to Crazy Horse Canyon Road.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 156 –Castroville to
Prunedale: May 4 – May 7
- Daytime pavement work will result in lane closures along eastbound and westbound Highway 156 between Oak Hills Drive and the pedestrian overcrossing in Castroville from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- There will be one-way reversing traffic control with flaggers.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.
South Salinas: Westbound Blanco
Road Closure
- Industrial wastewater pipe installation will result in the closure of westbound Blanco Road between Blanco Circle and La Mesa Way starting Monday, May 4.
- Eastbound Blanco Road will be subject to daytime lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Detour signs will be in place to help direct motorists.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.
