ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR AUGUST 3 - AUGUST 10

 Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, August 3, through Sunday, August 10, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Big Sur: August 4 – August 8

• Daytime drainage cleaning and vegetation spraying along Highway 1 between Lime Creek Bridge and Garrapata Creek Bridge from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 1 – Carmel: August 3 – August 8

• Night time utility work along southbound Highway 1 between Stewart Place/Flanders Drive and Ocean Avenue from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 101 – San Ardo: August 4 – August 8

• Daytime crack and seal work along northbound Highway 101 between the San Bernardo overcrossing and the San Ardo undercrossing from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 101 – King City: August 4 – August 8

• Daytime curb, gutter, and sidewalk work along northbound and southbound Highway 101 three locations.
• The locations are:
• Wild Horse Road off-ramp and street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• First street off-ramp and street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Canal Street off-ramp and street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: August 3 – August 8

• Night work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 at three locations from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• The locations are:
• Between Boronda Road and Ralph Lane
• Between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road
• Between Mallory Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road.
• Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – San Juan Road Interchange: August 6 – August 8

• Night work on Highway 101 will temporarily close the San Juan Road / Highway 101 on-ramp from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• Night work on Highway 101 will cause alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Rocks / Cannon Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 183 – Salinas: August 4 – August 7

• Daytime utility work along northbound Highway 183 / Main Street between Bridge Street and Menke Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 198: August 4 – August 8

• Daytime pavement work along Highway 198 between the Fresno County Line and Highway 25 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Davis Road Class II Bike Lane Project– Salinas: August 4 – August 8

• Daytime bike lane work on Davis Road between Blanco Road and East Rossi Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Motorists should expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

Imjin Parkway Class II Bike Lane Project– Marina: August 4 – August 8

• Daytime bike lane work on Imjin Parkway between Reservation Road and Imjin Road may result in alternating lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Motorists should expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.
