ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR JUNE 22 - JUNE 29



Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, June 22, through Sunday, June 29, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Big Sur Coast: June 23 – June 27
  • Daytime drainage work and vegetation spraying along Highway 1 between Lime Creek Bridge and Garrapata Creek Bridge from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes. 
Highway 1 – Big Sur: June 23 – June 27
  • Daytime paving along Highway 1 between the Ventana Entrance and the Andrew Molera Park entrance from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 1 – Carmel: June 26 – June 27
  • Daytime maintenance along Highway 1 between Granite Canyon Bridge and Ocean Avenue from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 68 – Pacific Grove: June 25
  • Daytime maintenance along Highway 68 between Asilomar and Highway 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 101 – King City and Greenfield: June 23 – 27
  • Daytime tree removal along southbound Highway 101 between Lagomarsino Avenue and Central Avenue from 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Salinas to the San Benito County Line: June 23 – June 27
  • Daytime sweeping along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Airport Boulevard and the San Benito County Line from 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: June 22 – June 27
  • Night work will close the southbound San Miguel Canyon Road on-ramp between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27.  
  • Night work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Crazy Horse Canyon Road between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 198 – San Lucas: June 27
  • Daytime guardrail repair along Highway 198 between Main Street and Highway 101 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
