ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR MAR 23 - MAR 30

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, March 23, through Sunday, March 30, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Multiple Locations:  Mar. 24 – Mar. 28

• Daytime drainage work, pavement repair, and vegetation spraying at two locations along Highway 1 between from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Locations are:
• Plaskett Camp Road to Rain Rock: Paving.
• Lime Creek Bridge to Garrapata Creek Bridge: Drainage work and vegetation spraying.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 – Monterey:  Mar. 24 and Mar. 27

• Daytime guardrail repair along Highway 1 at two locations from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Locations are;
• Southbound at Casa Verde Way: Monday March 24
• Northbound  at Fremont Street: Thursday March 27
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 68 – Monterey:  Sewer Repair Project from Mar. 10 – Apr. 18

• Daytime shoulder work on westbound Highway 68 from Highway 218 (Canyon Del Rey Boulevard) to the Calvary Chapel driveway will close the westbound shoulder between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Intermittent night work will also close a westbound lane between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
• Single lane traffic controls will be in effect during these night hours.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 68 – Monterey:  Mar. 26

• Daytime sweeping on Highway 68 from Pacific Groove to the Division of Forestry between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Greenfield to Salinas:  Mar. 24 – Mar. 25

• Daytime vegetation spraying on Highway 101 from Thorne Road to Airport Blvd between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad:  Mar. 24 – Mar. 28

• Daytime median barrier work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Chualar:  Mar. 24 – Mar. 28

• Daytime shoulder work on northbound Highway 101 from Alta Street/Old Stage Road to Main Street/Chualar Street between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 –Salinas:  Mar. 24 – Mar. 28

• Daytime drainage work on the Highway 101 on ramps from Airport Blvd to Little Bear Creek Bridge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect brief delays.

Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: Mar. 23 – Mar. 28

• Nighttime work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Crazy Horse Canyon Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 101 – San Juan Road Interchange: Mar. 24 – Mar. 28

• Night work on Highway 101 will cause alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Rocks / Cannon Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 156: Mar. 24 – Mar. 28

• Daytime drainage work on Highway 156 between Cathedral Oak Road and Oak Hills Drive from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
