ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR MAR 15 - MAR 23

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Saturday, March 15, through Sunday, March 23, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – Carmel:  Mar. 15

• Daytime electrical work at along northbound Highway 1 from Handley Drive to Carpenter Street between from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Highway 1 – Multiple Locations:  Mar. 17 – Mar. 21

• Daytime drainage and pavement work at multiple locations along Highway 1 between from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Locations are:
• Lime Creek Bridge to Garrapata Creek Bridge: Drainage work.
• Andrew Molera Park Entrance to Garrapata Creek Bridge: Crack and Seal work.
• Hurricane Point to Palo Colorado Road: Firming activity.
• Fern Canyon/Corona Rd: Paving.
• Del Monte Blvd/Neponset: Paving.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 25:  Mar. 17 – Mar. 21

• Daytime shoulder work along Highway 25 from Route 198 to Coalinga Road between from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Highway 68 – Monterey:  Sewer Repair Project from Mar. 10 – Apr. 18

• Daytime shoulder work on westbound Highway 68 from Highway 218 (Canyon Del Rey Boulevard) to the Calvary Chapel driveway will close the westbound shoulder between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Intermittent night work will also close a westbound lane between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
• Single lane traffic controls will be in effect during these night hours.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 68 – Salinas:  Mar. 17

• Daytime utility work on eastbound Highway 68 from San Miguel Avenue to San Joaquin Street between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad:  Mar. 17 – Mar. 21

• Daytime survey, median barrier and shoulder work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – Salinas:  Mar. 17 – Mar. 18

• Daytime shoulder work on northbound Highway 101 from Potter Road to Hartnell Road between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 –Salinas:  Mar. 17 – Mar. 21

• Daytime drainage work on the Highway 101 off ramps from Airport Blvd to Little Bear Creek Bridge between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect brief delays.

Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: Mar. 17 – Mar. 21

• Nighttime work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Vierra Canyon Road and Crazy Horse Canyon Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – San Juan Road Interchange: Mar. 17 – Mar. 21

• Night work on Highway 101 will cause alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Rocks / Cannon Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
