Road and Lane Closures Mar 3 - Mar 10

MONTEREY COUNTY – Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for the areas between Salinas and North Monterey County from Sunday, March 3, through Sunday, March 10, 2013– newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1/Rocky Creek Viaduct Project:  Mar 4 – Mar 8

•  Daytime roadwork on Highway 1 continues next week from 7 am to 5 pm Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 8.   
•  Overnight/night closures next week are as follows: 

•  Sunday, March 3 through Wednesday, March 6—9 pm to 11 pm with up to 10-minute holds;
•  Sunday, March 3 through Wednesday, March 6—11 pm to 7 am with up to 30-minute holds;
•  Work being done is excavating between bridge columns to install bridge deck beams.
•  Thursday, March 7 (opening Friday at 7 am)—10 pm to 7 am –hard closure; 
•  Work being done is pouring concrete on two bridge column caps 

•  Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a time during daytime roadwork.

• Completion is scheduled by Labor Day, weather permitting. Daily roadwork schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors so stay tuned for regular updates

Highway 1/Big Sur Area: Maintenance Work: Mar 4 – Mar 8

• Crews will be conducting tree work and shoulder work in the Big Sur vicinity at:
• Anderson Canyon Bridge / Partington Ridge Road
• Palo Colorado / Granite Canyon Bridge  
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1 @ Fremont:  Mar 4 – Mar 8

•  Night work on Highway 1 at Fremont St. will result in closures between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 8. 
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 1/North of Moss Landing: Mar 4 – Mar 8

• Crews will be conducting grinding operations at Springfield Road North of Moss Landing between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Highway 1/ Salinas Road to Watsonville:  Mar 4 – Mar 8

•  Daytime work on Highway 1, from Salinas Road to the Santa Cruz County Line, will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between 7 am and 4 pm on Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 8.
•  Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Highway 68 between Highway 1 and Laguna Seca: Mar 4 – Mar 8

• Night work on Highway 68 between Hwy 1 and Laguna Seca. Crews will be conducting drainage work between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., from Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 8.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Prunedale Improvement Project – Crazy Horse Canyon Road: Mar 4 – Mar 8

• Night work continues between Mallory Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 8.
• Night continues at Crazy Horse Canyon Road between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 8.
• Crews will be moving equipment and conducting bridge work.
