Here are the major scheduled
road and lane closures for the areas between Salinas and North Monterey
County from Sunday, March 10, through Sunday,
March 17, 2013– newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1/Rocky Creek Viaduct Project: Mar 10 – Mar 14
·
Daytime
roadwork on Highway 1 continues next week from 7 am to 5 pm Monday, March 11
through Friday, March 15
·
Sunday, March 10 through Thursday, March
14—9 pm to 11 pm with up to 10-minute delays;
·
Sunday, March 10 through Thursday, March
14—11 pm to 7 am (Friday am) with up to 30-minute delays;
·
(Roadway will remain OPEN each night next
week—no overnight hard closures)
·
Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a
time during daytime roadwork.
·
Completion is scheduled by Labor Day,
weather permitting. Daily roadwork schedules are subject to change due to
weather conditions and other factors so stay tuned for regular updates
Highway 1 @ Fremont: Mar 10 – Mar 15
·
Night work on Highway 1 at Fremont St. will
result in closures between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Sunday, March 410,
to Friday, March 15.
·
Motorists can expect delays of
approximately 10 minutes.
Highway
1/North of Moss Landing: Mar 10 – Mar 15
- Crews
will be conducting grinding operations at Springfield Road North of Moss
Landing between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Motorists
can expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.
Highway 1/ Salinas Road to Watsonville: Mar 11 – Mar 15

Daytime work on Highway 1, from Salinas
Road to the Santa Cruz County Line, will result in alternating lane
closures—northbound and southbound—between 7 am and 4 pm on Monday, March 11, to
Friday, March 15.
·
Motorists can expect delays of
approximately 15 minutes.
Highway 68 between Highway 1 and Laguna Seca: Mar 10 –
Mar 15
·
Night work on Highway 68 between Hwy 1 and
Laguna Seca. Crews will be conducting drainage work between the hours of 7 p.m.
and 6 a.m., from Sunday, March 10, to Friday, March 15.
·
Motorists can expect delays of
approximately 10 minutes.
Prunedale Improvement Project: Mar 11 – Mar 15
- Crews will be paving San Miguel Canyon Road and the southbound
HWY 101 San Miguel Canyon Road off-ramp from Monday, March 11, through
Friday, March 15.
- Work hours will be 7:30 PM to 6 AM
- This work WILL CLOSE the off-ramp from Southbound HWY
101 to San Miguel Canyon Road between the hours of 7:30 PM and 6 AM
- Night work continues between Mallory
Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday,
March 11, to Friday, March 15.
- Night work continues at Crazy
Horse Canyon Road between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from Monday, March 11,
to Friday, March 15.
- Crews will be moving equipment
and conducting bridge work.
