We had many wonderful people come out to the Prunedale Improvement Project's Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday, June 10 - community members, legislators, emergency responders...it really says a lot about the local support for this vital safety project.
I'd like to send out a special thank you to Dell Matt and California Transportation Commissioner Carl Guardino, who shared their personal stories of tragedies along this stretch of highway. In talking about their experiences, they really gave the audience a feeling for how important this work is for all of us. It will save lives.
