ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES FOR JANUARY 4 - JANUARY 11

Here are the major scheduled road and lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday, January 4 through Sunday, January 11, 2015 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.

Highway 1 – South Coast: January 5 – January 9

• Daytime slide removal along Highway 1 between the San Luis Obispo County Line and Gorda from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 1 – Big Sur: January 4 – January 9

• Daytime drainage work along Highway 1 between the Post Office and the Ventana entrance from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 1 – Monterey: January 5 – January 8

• Night time k-rail installation on the northbound Fremont Street Highway 1 on-ramp from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 1 – Monterey: January 8

• Daytime pavement repair on the northbound Del Monte Avenue Highway 1 on-ramp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 68 – Toro Park: January 5 – January 9

• Night time utility work along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Toro Park and Quail Ridge Lane from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 68 – Pacific Grove: January 7

• Daytime paving along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Presidio Boulevard and Skyline Forest Drive from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes

Highway 101 – Greenfield: January 5 – January 9

• Night time shoulder work along Highway 101 between Espinosa Road and Thorne Road from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 101 – Soledad: January 5 – January 9

• Daytime road work along Highway 101 between Harden Farms Road and Arroyo Seco Road from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: January 4 – January 9

• Night work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 at the following locations from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• The locations are:
• Between Boronda Road and Ralph Lane.
• Between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road.
• Between Mallory Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road.
• The Crazy Horse Canyon Interchange northbound and southbound on-ramps and off-ramps. 
• Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.

Highway 101 – San Juan Road Project: January 5 – January 9

• Night time work along northbound and southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Cannon Road/Rocks Road from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Imjin Parkway Class II Bike Lane Project

• Daytime bike lane work on Imjin Parkway between Reservation Road and Imjin Road may result in alternating lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes

Abbott Street Water Line Replacement Project

• The Don Chapin Company is installing a water line main along the Abbott/Harkins/Dayton corridor to improve water service to south Salinas California Water Service customers. During the Abbott Street portion of work that has commenced, the #1 southbound Abbott Street lane will be closed for the duration of next week. Abbott Street corridor and Abbott/Blanco/Sanborn intersection traffic should expect 10-minute delays during construction. Access to all businesses in the area will be available during the duration of construction, and bicycle lanes will remain available during construction.  Construction is not expected to occur on weekends, but traffic control will remain in place during those days for safety reasons. Construction is weather dependent.
