Here
are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday,
February 9, through Sunday, February 16, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – Multiple Locations: Feb. 10 – Feb 14
- Daytime drainage and tree work
at multiple locations along Highway 1 between from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Locations are:
- Lime Creek Bridge to Garrapata
Creek Bridge: Drainage work.
- Hurricane Point to
Garrapata Ridge Road: Crack and Seal work.
- Peter Pan Road to Granite
Canyon Bridge: Maintenance operation.
- Carmel Valley Road to Moss
Landing Road: Sweeping operation.
- Iris Canyon Road, Aguajito
Road, and Fremont Street: Guardrail repair.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad: Feb. 10 – Feb. 14
- Daytime drainage and median
work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo
Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and
southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Chualar:
Feb. 11
- Daytime drainage work on
northbound Highway 101 from Esperanza Road to Somavia Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Salinas:
Feb. 11 – Feb. 13
- Daytime vegetation spraying on
northbound Highway 101 from Airport Blvd to West
Laurel Drive between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.
Prunedale Improvement Project: Feb. 10 – Feb. 14
- Nighttime work will result in
alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 between
Vierra Canyon Road and Crazy Horse Canyon Road from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
San Juan Road Interchange—Lane and
ramp closures: Feb. 10 – Feb. 14
- Night
work on Highway 101 will cause alternating lane closures on northbound and
southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton
Road and Rocks / Cannon Road from 7:30 p.m.
and 6 a.m.
- Night
work will also temporarily close access to and from San Juan Road at
Highway 101 between 8:30 pm and 5:30 am.
- Motorists
for San Juan Road should detour to San Miguel Canyon Road.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 156 – Prunedale and Castroville: Feb. 13
- Daytime vegetation spraying on
Highway 156 from Highway 1 to Highway
101 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10
minutes.
