are the major scheduled road and
lane closures for the areas between Salinas and North Monterey County from Sunday, November 11, through Sunday,
November 18, 2012– newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1/Rocky Creek Viaduct
Project: Nov. 12 – Nov. 15
·
Daytime roadwork on Hwy 1 continues from 7 a.m. until
5 p.m.
·
Hwy.
1 @ Rocky Creek has one-way has one-way signalized traffic control 24/7.
Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a time during daytime roadwork.
·
Overnight
closures of Highway 1 at Rocky Creek (Mile Marker 59.5) are scheduled for five
nights from Monday, Nov. 12, through Thursday, Nov. 15, from 9 pm to 7 am each
night.
·
In order to minimize traffic impact as part of the
project, there will be advance notification for motorists, residents and businesses
via a traffic hotline, electronic message signs and email updates.
Highway 1@ Fremont: Nov. 12 – Nov. 15
·
Night
work on northbound Hwy 1 at Fremont St. will result in closures between the
hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Monday, November 12, to Thursday, November 15.
·
Motorists
can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
·
Crews will be working on the guardrail.
Highway 68@Highway 1 (East):
Nov. 12 – Nov. 15
·
Night
work on westbound Hwy 68 at Hwy 1 (east)
will result in closures between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from
Monday, November 12, to Thursday, November 15.
·
Motorists
can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
·
Crews will be working on the guardrail.
Highway 68: Nov. 12 –
Nov. 15
·
Night
work on both east and westbound Hwy 68, between Hwy 1 and the entrance to
Laguna Seca will result in closures between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from
Monday, November 12, to Thursday, November 15.
·
Motorists
can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
·
Crews will be striping the new pavement.
Highway 68:
Nov. 5 – Nov. 30
·
Caltrans
night work on Hwy 68 west of the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula
(CHOMP) continues.
o
Roadwork
consists of one-way reversing traffic control with flaggers.
·
Construction hours are: Sundays from 9 pm to 5 am, and
Mondays through Thursdays from 8 pm to 5 am.
·
There will
not be any night work on Friday or Saturday nights.
·
Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
·
This project will remove a deteriorated culvert and install
a new one with improved drainage.
Prunedale
Improvement Project: San Miguel Canyon Rd. and Hwy 101
- Construction work on San Miguel
Canyon Rd., near Prunedale North Rd. and the Prunedale Shopping Center,
began on Monday, June 25. This work
involves excavating the roadway to install new traffic signals, curbs and
sidewalks, and rebuild the roadway.

Motorists can expect delays
of about 15 minutes in the area.
o
Work will be done during the day.
o
Businesses are open, but access will change as work progresses.
