Caltrans will have a brief (15 minute) closure of all lanes on HWY 101 just south of Echo Valley Road tonight, February 23, sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely place a temporary bridge structure over the highway.
Tonight’s work on the highway will also close one lane in each direction between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
California Highway Patrol officers will be in the area throughout the work tonight to monitor traffic and assist with the traffic stop.
Motorists can expect delays of 15 – 20 minutes.
This work is part of the Prunedale Improvement Project, which addresses safety and operational concerns along the Highway 101 corridor between North Salinas and Echo Valley Road.
