lane closures for Monterey County from Sunday,
September 14, through Sunday, September 21, 2014 – newest information is in
red.
Please
keep in mind that construction work is weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – Big Sur: September 17 – September
18
- Daytime drainage cleaning along Highway
1 between Lime Creek Bridge and Fullers Point from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of
approximately 10 minutes
Highway 1 – Carmel: September 16 –
September 18
- Daytime tree work along
southbound and northbound Highway 1 between Atherton Drive and Stewart
Place/Flanders Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- September 16: southbound.
- September 17 and 18: northbound.
- Motorists can
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 68 – Monterey: September 18
- Night time utility work along
eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Highway 1 and the Community
Hospital entrance from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
- Motorists can
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 101 – Bradley: September 15
– September 19
- Daytime crack and seal work along
southbound Highway 101 between Alvarado Road and Jolon Road from 8 a.m. to
3:30 p.m.
- Motorists can
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: September
14 – September 19
- Night
work will result in alternating ramp and lane closures on northbound and
southbound Highway 101 at the following locations from 7:30 p.m. and 6
a.m.
- The locations are:
- The Boronda Road northbound and
southbound on-ramps and off-ramps.
- Between Boronda Road and Ralph
Lane.
- The northbound Sala Road
off-ramp.
- Between Blackie Road/Reese
Circle and Pesante Road.
- Between Vierra Canyon Road and
Tustin Road.
- Between Mallory Canyon Road and Echo
Valley Road.
- The Crazy Horse Canyon
Interchange northbound and southbound on-ramps and off-ramps.
- Motorists should
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Prunedale: September
15 – September 19
- Daytime tree work along southbound
and southbound Highway 101 between Pesante Road and San Juan Road from 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
- Motorists can
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 101 – San Juan Road Project:
September 15 – September 19
- Night time paving along southbound
Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Cannon Road/Rocks Road from 7:30
p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Motorists can
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 198: September 15 – September 19
- Daytime pavement work along
Highway 198 between the Fresno County Line and Highway 25 from 8 a.m. to
3:30 p.m.
- Motorists
can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Davis Road Class II Bike Lane Project–
Salinas
- Daytime bike lane work on Davis
Road between Blanco Road and East Rossi Street may result in alternating
lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Motorists should
expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Imjin Parkway Class II Bike Lane Project
- Daytime bike lane work on Imjin
Parkway between Reservation Road and Imjin Road may result in alternating
lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Motorists should
expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

SPECIAL NOTE: CALIFORNIA CLASSIC COAST
BICYCLE RIDE MOVES THROUGH THE CENTRAL COAST
CENTRAL COAST – The California Classic Coast bicycle
ride will arrive on southbound Highway 1 in Santa Cruz County on Saturday Sept.
13. This ride will continue next week in
the following locations:
• Hwy. 1 in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties on
Sunday, Sept. 14
• Hwy. 1 near Carmel to Big Sur in Monterey County
on Monday, Sept. 15.
• Hwy. 1 from Big Sur to the San Simeon State Park
in San Luis Obispo County on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
• Portions of Hwy. 1 between San Simeon State Park
and Pismo Beach on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
• Hwy.1 from Pismo Beach to Guadalupe, Hwy. 166 to
Santa Maria and Hwy. 246 from Solvang to Buellton on Thursday, Sept. 18.
• Hwy. 246, U.S. Highway 101, State Route 217 and
State Route150 in Santa Barbara County on Friday, Sept. 19.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be present
to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Electronic Message Boards will be posted alerting motorists to ‘Share
the Road’ with cyclists. Motorists can
expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes.
Caltrans reminds motorists to be aware of these
