Road and lane closures for Sept. 22 - Sept. 29


Highway 1/Rocky Creek Viaduct Project:  Sept. 23 – Sept 27.
  • Daytime roadwork on Highway 1 continues next week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 27.
  • There will be NO OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OR NIGHT ROADWORK next week, Sunday, Sept. 22 through Thursday, Sept. 26.
Highway 1 at Rocky Creek has one-way signalized traffic control 24/7. Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a time during daytime and nighttime roadwork.

Highway 1 Big Sur to South Coast:  Sept. 23 – 26
  • Tree work on Highway 1 between Lime Creek Bridge and Grange Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 68 Pacific Grove:  Sept. 23
  • One-day road sweeping on Highway 68 in Pacific Grove from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – San Lucas:  Sept. 25 – 26
  • Day time sweeping work on Highway 101 between Lockwood/San Lucas Rd and Route 198 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – King City:  Sept. 22– 26
  • Night time Slab Replacement on Highway 101 in King City from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Day Time sweeping on Highway 101 in King City between Canal Street and Broadway from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Gonzales and Soledad:  Sept. 22 – 27
  • Daytime drainage and electrical work on Highway 101 from La Gloria Road to Arroyo Seco Road will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and southbound—between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Chualar:  Sept. 24 – 27
  • Daytime drainage work on Highway 101 between Alta St/Old Stage Rd and Main St/Chular St from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – Salinas:  Sept. 25
  • Daytime bridge work on Highway 101 between Market Street and Sherwood Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Prunedale Improvement Project – Ralph Lane to Pesante Road:  Sept. 23 – Sept. 24
  • Nighttime work on Highway 101 from Ralph Lane to Pesante Road will close one lane each direction between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • The closure is needed for crews to conduct work on the median barrier.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Prunedale Improvement Project – Crazy Horse Canyon Road:  Sept. 23 – Sept. 24
  • Nighttime work on Highway 101 at Crazy Horse Canyon Road will cause alternating lane closures in each direction between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • The closure is needed for crews to conduct work on the median barrier.
  • Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
