HWY 68 ROAD WORK BEGINS JULY 30
Caltrans will begin grinding and paving a seven-mile section of Highway 68 from the Highway 1 interchange to SPCA Road on Monday, July 30.
Roadwork will be done during overnight hours and is expected to be completed this fall.
In areas where the roadway is four lanes, at least one lane will remain open in each direction at all times.
Roadwork hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 7 pm to 6 am; Fridays from 1 am to 6 am, and Sundays from 8 pm to midnight.
In areas where there is only one lane in each direction, the same schedule will apply except on Sundays, when work will occur between 10 pm and midnight.
Electronic message signs will be posted to advise motorists, who can expect 15-20 minute delays.
