October 12, through Sunday, October 19, 2014 – newest information is in red. Please keep in mind that construction work is
weather-dependent.
Highway 1 – South Coast: October 13
– October 17
- Daytime work along Highway 1 between the San Luis Obispo County Line and Gorda from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 1 – Big Sur: October 13 –
October 17
- Daytime bridge work along Highway 1 at Malpaso Creek Bridge from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 1 – Sand City: October 15 –
October 16
- Daytime shoulder work along northbound Highway 1 between Tioga Avenue and Sand Dunes Drive from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 68 – Corral De Tierra and
Quail Ridge: October 11– October 12
- One night k-rail installation along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between Quail Ridge Lane and Corral De Tierra Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 68 – Toro Park and San
Benancio: October 13– October 17
- Night time k-rail installation along eastbound and westbound Highway 68 between San Benancio Road and Toro Park from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Highway 101 – Prunedale Improvement Project: October
12 – October 17
- Night work will result in alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Highway 101 at the following locations from 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- The locations are:
- Between Boronda Road and Ralph Lane.
- Between Vierra Canyon Road and Tustin Road.
- Between Mallory Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Highway 101 – San Juan Road Project: October
13– October 17
- Night time work along southbound Highway 101 between Dunbarton Road and Cannon Road/Rocks Road from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Motorists can should delays and plan for additional travel time.
Highway 198: October 13 – October 17
- Daytime pavement work along Highway 198 between the Fresno County Line and Highway 25 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes
Davis Road Class II Bike Lane Project–
Salinas
- Daytime bike lane work on Davis Road between Blanco Road and East Rossi Street may result in alternating lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Imjin Parkway Class II Bike Lane Project
- Daytime bike lane work on Imjin Parkway between Reservation Road and Imjin Road may result in alternating lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Motorists should expect delays of approximately 5 minutes.

SAN
JUAN ROAD INTERCHANGE PARTIALLY OPEN TO TRAFFIC
MONTEREY
COUNTY – Caltrans and Granite Construction Company partially opened the new San Juan Road Interchange to traffic on the
morning of Friday, October 10. The
opening permanently removed left turns across Highway 101 at San Juan Road and
Cole Road.
Just after
6 a.m. Friday, October 10, crews opened the southbound Highway 101 exit and
northbound Highway 101 on-ramp to traffic. The opening allows drivers to use
the new interchange to access:

Highway 101
Access to
southbound Highway 101 will remain via the existing Dunbarton Road detour.
Directional
signs and changeable message boards are in place to help direct drivers.
The
northbound Highway 101 off-ramp and southbound Highway 101 on-ramp will remain
closed to allow crews to continue to safely work on both the ramps and Highway
101. The full opening of the San Juan Road Interchange is currently scheduled
for Spring of 2015.
The $69
million San Juan Road Interchange Project will remove three major at-grade
intersections (San Juan Road, Dunbarton Road, and Cole Road) and replace them
with a new interchange near the Red Barn at San Juan Road and U.S.101. The
project is supported by $10 million from the Recovery Act and $28 million from
Proposition 1B, a 2006 voter-approved bond. In total, nearly $15 billion in
Proposition 1B funds have been distributed statewide.
More than
60,000 vehicles travel through the U.S. 101/San Juan Road area each day.
